LeKeisha H. Brown seeks to inspire students and families with her books. She is a mother and a veteran educator with 23 years of experience. She currently serves as an elementary school principal. LeKeisha is a graduate of Benedict College in Columbia, S.C. and also holds two graduate degrees from Converse College in Spartanburg, S.C. LeKeisha believes that students are capable of achieving at the highest levels when the community works together. As a result of this belief, she serves the community within organizations that strive to uplift others. LeKeisha is a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. the N.C.N.W, the South Carolina Association of School Administrators and other professional organizations.

Transparency, a collection of poems by Dr. Shawn Davidson, became an Amazon Bestseller in the African American poetry books just a couple of days after its release. The book is available in a print edition and a Kindle edition, and it will be available in the audiobook format soon.

Description

Transparency is a short book of poems that emulate relationships. The long phone conversations over dinner or while getting dressed for work. The late-night, early morning breakfast to help absorb the lavations consumed earlier that evening. Even the arguments that led to a wonderful make-up session. I believe each encounter, whether long-term or overnight, has its purpose as well as its place in our lives. Please read in-between the lines and dig deep because a mirrored image will appear. Davidson promises to deliver poems annually, and each poem will entice, inform, and enlighten you as a valued reader.

About the Author

Dr. Shawn A. Davidson is an avid reader and poetry writer. A graduate of Winston-Salem State University, Clark Atlanta University; Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama; Georgia Southern University, Dr. Davidson has served as a paraprofessional, elementary teacher, EIP math specialist, and a middle grades study skills teacher. He embarked upon an educational leadership career as an assistant principal, principal, and a district staffing coordinator within Atlanta Metropolitan Area school systems.

Dr. Davidson holds an Ed. S. in Language Arts. After the completion of his doctorate degree at Georgia Southern University, he began serving as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Educational Leadership at Albany State University’s College of Education.

Dr. Davidson is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, and he is a proud son of Alvin and Alice Davidson Crockett. Dr. Davidson is the father of Mario Davidson whom he adores and loves dearly. Mario is named after Eric Andre Davidson, Dr. Davidson’s deceased brother. Dr Davidson is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and proceeds from books sales will benefit St. Judes and other organizations.
